Vice Versa Coffee & Music closed its doors yesterday just shy of its two year anniversary. In an Instagram post, shop owner Vinny explains that the AC problems experienced last summer is what caused a hole in its finances, and thanked the community for their support.
Opening
A new watering hole and music venue is coming to the River North district. The aptly-named River North Icehouse will offer indoor + outdoor seating options, games, and large TV screens. It’s set to open later this season, stay tuned for a grand opening date.
San Antonian
Local photographer Nancy Beale Canseco is opening a photography exhibition titled “The People of Beacon Hill” at Bright Coffee. The project highlights one the first “modern” mapped subdivisions developed in San Antonio. Come by for the opening reception on Friday April 12, 6-8 p.m.
Sports
San Antonio FC player Mohammed Abu has retired after his 14-year soccer career. Abu joined the team in 2021 and made 78 appearances with the club. Catch the next home game on Saturday, April 13 at Toyota Field. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

The Alamo

Tower of the Americas

To commemorate the 250 year anniversary of the city and the 1968 World’s Fair, this tower is the staple of the San Antonio skyline.
