In 2024, San Antonians made more than 7,100 calls to the City’s 311 hotline to report potholes. Sixteen Pothole Patrol crews fixed 14,588 road blemishes throughout that same year.
Yesterday, we reported about the Pothole Patrol’s 2025 Fiesta medal giveaway and its Pothole Patrol Blitz, but let’s take a deeper dive into how you can keep our streets tidy + neat.
Spot-a-pothole
Knowing the difference between a pothole and pavement repair is key when reporting to the city. Let’s compare:
Pothole: 3 ft by 3 ft or smaller in size
Pavement repair: Larger than 3 ft by 3 ft
Report-a-pothole
Reporting a pothole is as easy as dialing 311. The Pothole Patrol consists of 16 crews across four service centers covering the Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest regions of the city.
The patrol can fix these street cysts within two business days of being reported and takes 20 minutes to repair.

CommonWealth Coffee House and Bistro announced that it’s opening a new location in the Stone Oak neighborhood this summer. An address and official opening date was not released. (SA Business Journal)

Putting SATX on the foodie map. Leche de Tigre and Mixtli have advanced to the finalist round of 2025 James Beard Awards — the Oscars for food + hospitality industry. The winners will be announced in June. These restaurants have also earned praise and accolades from the Michelin Guide.
