  • Freetail Brewing Co., multiple locations | You’ve got options at this brewery with its two area locations.

  • Coyote Park, 15915 Old Fredericksburg Rd. | The city’s biggest dog park was part of Phase 1 of The Rock at La Cantera development.
  • Hemisfair, 434 S. Alamo St. | Take your dog on a walk through Civic Park in the heart of San Antonio, which features Mutt Mitt stations equipped with waste bags.
  • San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, 2202 Roosevelt Ave.| Explore the eight-mile stretch along the River Walk’s Mission Reach that consists of four remaining 18th-century Spanish colonial missions. Dogs aren’t allowed inside any of the park buildings or churches, but can walk the grounds on a leash.
  • San Antonio Parks and Rec Dog Parks, multiple locations | The city manages 19 off-leash dog parks within the San Antonio city limits.
  • Legacy Park, 103 W. Houston St. | Hang out with your best dog friend in downtown’s backyard at one of the frequent dog markets.

  • Medina Natural Area, 15890 TX-16 | Bring your over-energized pup to one of the dog-friendly hiking trails on San Antonio’s south side.
  • Front Country Trail, 12861 Galm Rd. | Hike with your dog on the only park-approved trail at Government Canyon State Natural Area.

  • Leon Creek Greenway Trailhead, 17612 Vance Jackson Rd. | The trailhead located at I-10 and 1604 is a great hike for you and your dog as it goes through three San Antonio parks.
  • Salado Creek Trail, 3104 N. Loop 1604 W. | This dog-approved paved trail runs from 1604, through the north side of San Antonio, and ends at Fort Sam Houston.
