Learn how you can get your hands on our first Fiesta medal. | Graphic by 6AM City
We are less than a week away from the biggest party of the year. Earlier this week, we sent out a teaser about the creation of our very first Fiesta medal.
Drum roll please... it’s finally time to unveil our inaugural Fiesta Medal. We are excited to finally share this project with our fellow readers and future subscribers. So how can you get your hands on this limited-edition medal? Let’s spill the details.
🤔 So, why a Fiesta medal?
The origins of Fiesta can be traced back to 1891, while SATXtoday has only been around since 2022, we thought it was time to join the rest of the 210 in this celebration.
The design of the medal was crafted in-house — thank you 6AM City graphic designers — and features our logo with a wreath of the Mexican crepe paper flowers around the border to give it that puro San Antonio touch.
🎉Giveaway spots + rules
Now onto the fun part, the free giveaways. We only have a limited amount of medals to give out this year, so it’s first come, first served. The SATXtoday team picked three locations around the Alamo City and here’s where you can find us:
Early Bird Coffee, 11745 I-10 #527 | Tuesday, April 16 | 10-11:30 a.m.
Hops and Hounds, 1119 Aveune B. | Thursday, April 25 | 4-5:30 p.m.
Here’s how you can get one:
Be a current or new subscriber to SATXtoday (show us our most recent newsletter in your inbox or your thank you subscriber email).
Only one medal per subscriber — meaning you can’t pick one up for a friend or family member, and you can’t use multiple email addresses for one person.
Don’t forget to show off your shiny new gear on socials by tagging us and using the hashtag #SATXtodayFiesta. ¡Viva Fiesta!, San Antonio.

It’s time for the three Bs: Brats, beer, and baseball. This baseball season is packed full of games and events. With fun initiatives like giveaways and themed nights, the spring + summer months are heating up for the San Antonio Missions.
About the team
The Missions made their major league debut in 1888. Once the Austin Senators, the team moved to San Antonio and then changed their name to the Cowboys. The team has changed their name six times before settling on the Missions and is the oldest sports franchise in the city.
Today, the team plays at the Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium (also known as “The Wolff”) just west of downtown. Fun fact: The stadium opened on April 18, 1994 as the San Antonio Municipal Stadium.
