Don’t miss: The City of San Antonio hosts yearly Free Landfill Days. Plan ahead for the next one on Saturday, April 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Just a friendly reminder, illegal dumping is a crime and can have consequences like a fine or possible jail time. Don’t be that guy.

Bulk Pickup

Don’t want to head to the collection center? No problem. The city offers two curbside bulk pickups a year. Customers will receive a door hang notifying them seven to 10 days in advance of their pickup dates. Use this tool to get an estimate of your next collection date.

Feeling like a waste pro? Up your garbage game by learning how to compost at home.

    What would you do?

What would you do with an extra day in SA?

Let’s celebrate Leap Day 2024. | Graphic by SATXtoday
It’s 2024, and we have a special February that only comes around once every four years. That’s right, we’re talking about Leap Day. Instead of the traditional 28 days, we are treated with 29, this is due to the Earth not quite taking exactly 365 days to revolve around the sun — it is actually a rounded-up number.

With this additional day of the year, we want to get to know you better, so we’re asking: How would you spend this year’s extra day? Take our survey for a chance to be featured in our upcoming Leap Day newsletter. We’ll be accepting entries until Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m.

Need something to do on Leap Day? Check out Copa Wine Bar’s Wine and Dine dinner happening on Thursday, Feb. 29. Keep your eyes peeled on our events calendar for more extra day activities.

Happy Monday everyone. I was able to grab an iced latte made with Cereal Milk from Indy Coffee Club over the weekend and I have to say, it is worth the wait. Stay up to date on its Instagram for when the next batch of sweet lattes drop — and yes, it comes with marshmallows on top.
