Who will win the best tortilla in San Antonio? | Graphic by SATXtoday Team
We know San Antonians take their taco business seriously. From being ranked behind Las Vegas in the top US cities for tacos, to Pedro Pascal admitting that the Alamo City has better tacos than Austin — sorry, ATXtoday. Without the perfect tortilla, is the taco even good?
We want you to share your favorite place to get tortillas in the Alamo City to fill out an official bracket lineup — think March Madness but for tortillas. This could be anywhere you get them such as H-E-B, Alamo Cafe, and Rosario’s to name a few. For this challenge we’ll be focusing on flour tortillas.
Nominations will remain open until Friday, Nov. 17, and we will add the top eight results into a bracket. The winning tortilla will be featured in a special edition newsletter.
Flour tortillas are my kryptonite. An H-E-B tortilla with butter is one of my all time favorite snacks, but I was also stunned at how amazing Cariqui’s tortillas tasted. Sadly, they don’t sell them separately — just name your price.
