Edu
Edgewood ISD released its 11 ideas for consolidating schools. The district cites a 22% decrease in attendance since the 2017-2018 school year and budget constraints. Some of the ideas include consolidating students from other schools into one campus, and repurposing the current central office building.
Announced
Centro San Antonio announced the winner of its Spurs-themed mural contest. Give a round of applause to local artist Andy Benavides of Benavides Studios. The new mural is set to be about 50-ft high and 15-ft wide at the intersection of Navarro + Houston Street. You may also recognize his name from his famous “Tacotonio” mural.
Ranked
It’s OK, boo. According to a new study by the Thriving Center of Psychology, San Antonio is ranked the No. 7 city in the US where Gen Z and Millennials are most likely to “ghost” someone — as in abruptly stop communication with someone without an explanation.
State
On the lonely road. Atlas Obscura released its “Loneliest Road in Every State” ranking and Texas’ lucky (or unlucky) winner is State Route 49 going from Mount Pleasant to the Louisiana state line. This line of asphalt has the least amount of traffic in the state.

Are you hungry for some Korean barbecue? The newest hot pot spot has opened up on San Antonio’s Northwest side. City Editors Adriana + Nicholas got the inside scoop of what the restaurant is offering, and how it cranks up the heat. Let’s dig in.
KPOT offers both Korean barbecue and hot pot. With its lunch special starting at $19.99, adults can enjoy an all-you-can-eat-style on its barbecue — and for an additional $5, you can enjoy both. We’re not going to go through its extensive menu (that would just make us hungrier), but this is what we tried + recommend: Beef Bulgogi, Garlic Shrimp, and Sliced Pork Belly.
In addition to the hot pot + barbecue options, KPOT also offers:
