It’s Barbie’s world, and we’re all living in it ahead of the “Barbie” movie release this Friday, July 21.

Put yourself in the little plastic shoes of Barbara Millicent Roberts — where would you celebrate the special day? We may not know how to get to Barbie Land, but we can help you find the next best thing: places to get pretty in pink in San Antonio.

Morning

Grab yourself a Strawberry Latte from Pink Capuchino to get the day started. For breakfast, hop over to Hemisfair Park and sip on the Barbie Beach Club from the Box St. Social and snack on some Box Tots. This Barbie has to be quick, because they close at 2:30 p.m.

After breakfast it’s time for some shopping at the nearby Pearl weekend farmers market. Make sure to get some blueberry goat cheese and hand-made dog treats for Taffy (Barbie’s dog).

Afternoon

After all the shopping, it’s time to get some energy back with lunch. Sit down at Best Quality Daughter for some Asian-American dishes. We recommend the roasted brussels sprouts and the cashew chicken.

After a busy morning and afternoon, why not relax at a resort with a couple of spa hours or sipping on a margarita by the pool?

Evening

To finish the day off with a pretty pink bow, it’s time for dinner. We know the perfect date spot for Barbie + Ken. Head over to Rosario’s for a relaxed vibe and amazing food — the mole casero and pink catcus margarita don’t disappoint.

We can’t forget the sweet tooth craving that comes afterwards. These Barbie’s love a San Antonio staple — the concha. Visit any panadería for a fresh pink slice of sweet bread.

Bye Barbie, we hoped you enjoyed your visit to the Alamo City.
