Shake things up

To go or not to go — is that even a question? | Photo by SATXtoday
Editor Skylar here. In the spirit of getting to know one another, I’ll share a fun fact about me: I’ve always had an interest in Shakespeare. My favorite movie is “10 Things I Hate About You,” which is loosely based on “The Taming of the Shrew,” and my mom covered the play in her 34 years teaching language at my high school.

I tell you this because we’re just under one month away from the close of McNay Art Museum’s “Designing Shakespeare through the Ages” exhibition. Grab your tickets to see it + pencil in a couple of related upcoming events:
  • Shakespeare Costume Workshop | Saturday, June 14 | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Gain insight into historical design techniques and take in the artistry of period costumes.
  • Shakespeare Acting Workshop | Saturday, June 28 | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | The session explores iambic pentameter, dramatic delivery, and the movement that shapes each character.

  • Returning and new students | Registration windows now open, with enrollment for returning students ending on Wednesday, August 13.
Pro tip: Judson ISD’s School of Choice policy gives families full flexibility to select the school that’s right for them, regardless of assigned zone.

Kids, this is the story of how I met your mother, and it was all thanks to SATXtoday.

Whether you’ve met “the one” or are hoping to impress someone new, we’ve got local date night ideas that are legen — wait for it — dary. Get started with these five:

  • Unleash your inner artist and let your adventurous side shine inside the Splatter Paint Rooms at Unchartered Adventures.
