San Antonio has an endless list of activities to do, friend groups to join, and classes to take. Today we’re shining a light on an up-and-coming trend — no, not run clubs, but those are cool too — it’s the art of pottery + ceramic making.
Let’s get those wheels spinning and unlock your next favorite hobby.
San Antonio Potters Guild
This established nonprofit has been accepting members and conducting community outreach events since 1995. You can catch them at Curator Coffee on select days where they host pottery markets — more on them in a second.
Curator Coffee
Blending local art and espresso together, this Thousand Oaks neighborhood coffee shop offers seasonal pottery classes. Its upcoming holiday schedule consists of classes making ceramic mugs + ornaments. Pro tip: Your ticket includes one free drink.

Roadrunner Ceramics
In addition to pottery, this organization also hosts classes on vinyl making + layering, as well as abroad art tours. One of its upcoming classes is in collaboration with the San Antonio Potters Guild and is a two day event led by artist Scott Stockdale.
Clay Casa Don’t want to get your hands dirty? Not a problem, because here you pick your pottery and paint your own design. Clay Casa offers themed nights, a huge selection of items, and reservations for birthday parties. Check out its newest location in the Alamo Ranch area.
Mud Studio
Catch the last six week class of the year starting on Monday, Oct. 28. Here, you’ll learn everything from basic to advanced techniques of clay throwing.

Busted Sandal Brewing Company is closing all three locations due to rising costs. The brewery will host farewell parties on various dates at its San Antonio, Helotes, and Kerrville locations. Read the full statement.

Houston-based restaurant group Adair Concepts is planting San Antonio roots in 2025. The group is bringing Tex-Mex eatery Los Tios and Adair Kitchen, an all day dining comfort food establishment, early next year. Stay tuned for grand opening details.

The weather is somewhat cooling down, more events are happening each week, coffee shops are releasing new drink menus, it all means one thing — fall is here.
Crinkling leaves and pumpkin-everything are staples of the time, but we’re hear to find out what San Antonio sounds like during the season: from you.
