You’ve probably encountered a downtown road closure due to construction. Annoying, we know — but these upcoming road closures are for a special film project.

The film division of the Department of Arts & Culture and other local entities announced they are actively working with production personnel to facilitate the filming of “1923.” Not familiar with the show? It’s the prequel to the Paramount Network series “Yellowstone.”

Filming is scheduled to occur in downtown San Antonio the week of Monday, Sept. 16 with varying closures along several streets. Here are the anticipated impacts to the area:

Note: This schedule is subject to change.

Monday, Sept. 16 – Wednesday, Sept.18
  • Sidewalks open.
  • Vehicle traffic is closed to Broadway between E. Pecan St. and E. Houston St.; Peacock Alley between Jefferson St. and N. Alamo St.; and E. Travis St. between Jefferson St. and N. Alamo St. closed to vehicular traffic.
  • Broadway between E. Pecan St. and 3rd St. is open for northbound traffic only.
Closure schedule continued
