If you’ve visited the Shops at Rivercenter recently, you’ve probably seen a few changes. Originally opening on Feb. 20, 1988, the shopping district in the heart of San Antonio is getting a face lift.

Local chef and Food Network personality, Jason Dady, has teamed up with Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp to overhaul the existing food court at the shopping center, meet Mexico Ceaty.

Coming in early 2025, the 21,000-sqft space will be transformed with the help of architect Frank Valadez of SA Partnership and the Jason Dady Restaurant Group.

Visitors can expect to see multiple eateries, a coffee shop, a stage for live music + art activations, and a marketplace (offering salsas, handmade kitchen utensils, and artisan crafts).

“Mexico Ceaty brings another great dimension to the Shops at Rivercenter that visitors are going to love,” said Joe Press, chief operating officer of Ashkenazy Acquisition.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Tres Arcos: | An eclectic full-service restaurant serving Tex-Mex cuisine.
  • Dos Cantinas: | A 300-seat bar with two “Sunken Garden” sitting areas and elevated lofts, offering margaritas, tequila cocktails, and an elaborate menu.
  • El Ultimo: | A speakeasy-style agave tasting room showcasing mezcals and tequilas.
  • Dulce Aroma: | A casual panaderia café specializing in Mexican pastries, fresh churros, and breakfast tacos.

In addition to these four concepts, visitors will also see food stands including a tortilleria, taqueria, ceviche bar, fruteria, and Baja burrito stand.
