Pothole Patrol Fiesta Medal
The first 100 San Antonians to report a pothole will receive the 2024 Pothole Patrol Fiesta medal. | Photo by City of San Antonio
In 2023, San Antonians made more than 4,600 calls to the City’s 311 hotline to report potholes. Fourteen Pothole Patrol crews fixed approximately 333 potholes each day. But what is the Pothole Patrol?

We’re here to break down the process of reporting these menaces in the hopes of saving a trip to the auto body shop and your sanity.

Pothole Patrol Blitz

The Public Works Department and San Antonio Pothole Patrol are kicking off the 8th Annual Pothole Patrol Blitz. During this time, the department hosts various pop-up events throughout the month of April, promoting civic engagement with locals as they identify + fix a holey moley goal of 10,000 potholes in April.

And the best part? The Pothole Patrol will be giving away Fiesta medals for the first 75 attendees as well as different swag at each event.

Jessica T. and Michelle OD give the important tip of “Drink water, stay hydrated, and wear sunscreen.”

Give us some tips on how to survive Fiesta for a chance to be featured in an upcoming newsletter.

I am a sucker for anything that lights up or is super shiny. So it’s needless to say I was a Sketchers kid growing up, and that the Pothole Patrol Fiesta medal has my name written all over it.
