Come February, a magical new experience will make its way to San Antonio. Walt Disney Animation Studios will collaborate with Lighthouse Immersive Studios, the producers of Immersive Van Gogh, to debut a new concept at Lighthouse ArtSpace venues: Disney Animation: Immersive Experience.

The immersive installation will feature both the music and imagery from Disney Animation’s canon of films, including modern favorites like “Encanto,” “Zootopia,” and “Frozen,” to all-time classics like The “Lion King,” “Peter Pan,” and “Pinocchio.”

J. Miles Dale — the Oscar-winning producer for “The Shape Of Water” (Best Picture, 2018) — is leading the production of the show.

“With such a wealth of material and a treasure trove of memorable characters, it will be a thrill to bring the work of all the great Disney animators and performers to life in a 360-degree immersive environment,” shared Dale.

Mexico City-based Cocolab is working with Dale and the Creative Legacy team at Walt Disney Animation Studios to develop the program for Lighthouse Immersive Studios.

Visitors can also expect never-before-seen interactive lobby elements before or after entering the gallery developed by Lighthouse Immersive’s Global Creative Director David Korins, a Tony Award-nominee whose credits include shows like “Hamilton” and “Grease Live.”

The show will debut in San Antonio on Feb. 28, 2023 and will run through the end of May. Tickets are now on sale with pricing beginning at $39.99.
