Hey y’all. Newsletter Editor Nicholas here. Tuesday, Jan. 7 just so happens to be my 25th birthday, so I thought I might celebrate by sharing my top 25 favorite things in and about the city.

These are in no particular order.

25.

Tortillas from La Luz Tortilla Factory | You can never go wrong with barbacoa + Big Red on a Sunday morning.

24.

The plethora of murals across town | I’ve had the absolute pleasure of meeting local artists like Colton Valentine and Jacksun Benavides, their stories and art are inspiring.

23.

Browsing the products at Belle & Union | There’s a fountain pen I’ve been keeping an eye on.

22.

Shrimp from Sea Island | This sea food chain holds a special place in my heart. Growing up, my parents would take my siblings and me to Sea Island after picking out a Christmas tree.

21.

The Springs at Civic Park | The running water, bistro seating, and trees make this one of the perfect places to relax and catch up on some reading.

20.

Buying treats from Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming | My dog Sophie is treated like a princess and loves its handmade cakes + cookies.

PRESS Coffee SATX

The vibes are immaculate at PRESS Coffee on Broadway. Just make sure to get there early to snag a seat.

19.

Our coffee shop scene | Lately I’ve been camping out at The Newstand, Poetic Republic Coffee Roasters, and PRESS Coffee.

18.

Getting new clothes at House of Trends Co. | This vintage clothing store is my go-to option when updating my closet.

17.

Visiting Nowhere Bookshop | This locally-owned book store carries more than just books — I usually get lost in here for more than an hour.

16.

Meeting up with a local social group | I’m currently part of a book club with some friends and it has been so fulfilling — 10/10 would recommend.

15.

Pan dulce from La Popular Bakery | Wash down that Sunday breakfast taco with some delicious sweet bread.

Crates, posters, and merch litter the walls at Batcave Vinyl.

The store is stocked literally from floor to ceiling with vintage records, new releases, imports, and more music items for purchase.

Picking up a new record at Batcave Vinyl | From camping out for Record Store Day to browsing the new inventory, this shop has all my music needs.

13.

Local photographers | Recently, I’ve been loving photos made from artists like Zack De La Garza, Elias Perez, Claudia Gomez, and JoMando Cruz.

12.

Visiting the Historic Pearl | Making a stop inside of the Pullman Market or Ruby Road Gems is always a must-do for me.

11.

Reminiscing about Malibu Grand Prix and Castle Golf and Games | Yes, this place is gone, but not the memories I have of it.

10.

Flowers from Ray’s Floral Boutique | Who doesn’t love fresh flowers for their home?

9.

Supporting local artists | San Antonian OOZ has been a recurring artist in my playlists. Plus, I have art from Trinity Art, Sandgrain Studio, Tattooed Boy, and many others in my home and office.

Southtown Vinyl

Shopping at the Sol Tree Pop Up at Southtown Vinyl is always a good time.

Pop up markets | PRESS Coffee, Feliz Modern, and Sol Tree offer great ways to shop and support local businesses year-round.

7.

Outdoor orchestra concerts | If you haven’t relaxed in the shade, on a blanket, with a cup of lemonade listening to Agarita, then you haven’t lived yet.

6.

YOU | Our lovely readers who subscribe to our daily newsletter — it’s a privilege being part of your morning routine and I’m forever grateful for your readership.

5.

Santikos Movie Theaters | There’s nothing like mixing an ICEE and catching a new flick. Anyone else excited for James Gunn’s “Superman?”

4.

The Curry Queso Hot Dog from Curry Boys | Need I say more?

3.

Looking at homes in Alamo Heights | I’m guilty of Zillow scrolling — they’re just so pretty.

Attending a San Antonio FC match | I may not know the positions or rules, but I love going with my friends, especially when it’s $3 hot dog night.

What should I add to the list for #26? Let me know.
