How to learn about San Antonio’s fiscal year 2024 proposed budget

City residents are invited to get involved with next year’s budget planning

Attend one for nine budget information town halls across San Antonio this month.

It’s that time of year again. The City of San Antonio is working on its next fiscal year’s budget — running each year from October 1 to September 30 — and wants your input. Come join City Manager Erik Walsh and staff from key city departments for a series of town hall meetings about the Fiscal Year 2024 proposed budget during the month.

During each session, budget highlights will be shared and residents will have the opportunity to ask questions. Throughout the month, there will be a series of nine meetings across the city where budget highlights will be shared, giving residents the opportunity to ask questions. Each town hall will start at 6:30 p.m. (except for Saturday, August 19 town hall).

Here’s what we know about the meetings:

Monday, August 14

  • Budget Town Hall - District 3 | Mission Branch Library, 3134 Roosevelt Ave.
  • Budget Town Hall - District 6 | Alicia Treviño Lopez Senior Center, 8353 Culebra Rd.

Tuesday, August 15

  • Budget Town Hall - District 10 | Northeast Senior Center, 4135 Thousand Oaks Dr.

Wednesday, August 16

  • Budget Town Hall - District 1 | San Antonio College Chandler Gym, 1819 N. Main Ave.
  • Budget Town Hall - District 8 & 9 | Phil Hardberger Park Urban Ecology Center, 8400 NW Military Hwy.

Thursday, August 17

  • Budget Town Hall - District 7 | Doris Griffin Senior Center, 6157 Northwest Loop 410

Saturday, August 19

  • Budget Town Hall - District 4 | Miller’s Pond Community Center, 6175 Old Pearsall Rd. | 10 a.m.

Tuesday, August 22

  • Budget Town Hall - District 5 | Normoyle Community Center, 700 Culberson Ave.

Thursday, August 24

  • Budget Town Hall - District 2 | Second Baptist Church Community Center (Gym), 3310 E. Commerce St.

Interested in attending one of the meetings? Residents must register for the town halls in advance. City Council will vote on the budget on Thursday, September 14.
