Can you believe it’s been almost seven months since the Pig Stand closed? The diner was opened for 101 years, and closed its doors on Sunday, March 12. However, this is not the end for the property.

GrayStreet Partners purchased the site in February (valued at $3.7 million) from the owner, Mary Ann Hill. The developer has recently released its plan to turn the once beloved diner and landmark into a 35-ft hotel.

Here’s what we know about the current property:

  • Roughly 1.2 acres (51,762 sqft)
  • Located at 1508 Broadway

The plans for the Pig Stand were submitted this week and include a zoning change. If the change is approved, this will give the green light for the developer to move forward. The new zoning could also allow for a potential bar, nightclub, or brewery.
Stay tuned for updates about the future of this property.
