🚗 Before you buy: 5 things to check on your test drive
A thorough test drive helps you spot red flags, confirm comfort, and see if your next ride fits your lifestyle and your budget. Here’s how to make every minute count:
80-year-old Natalie Grabow recently became the oldest woman to cross the finish line at the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii, doing so in just under the 17-hour time limit.
That got us thinking: How would we create a course comprising the feared 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile cycle, and 26.2-mile run in San Antonio?
Swim | We’d start the event at Medina Lake, where picturesque, tranquil waters provide the perfect backdrop for the swim.
Bike | We planned out a route on Google Maps for this one, starting where we left off at Medina Lake, heading north through multiple state parks, and then heading back to the Alamo City via Canyon Lake + New Braunfels.
Run | That ride lands us at Plaza de Armas, right by the start line for the upcoming inaugural San Antonio Marathon. So we’re just copying that route.
First up: You can head to the San Antonio Public Library to explore a curated selection of books by Indigenous authors, and stories that honor Native voices.
