The Wrap

A black alpaca and a light-colored alpaca graze.

In honor of National Alpaca Day, I’m pleased to present my new best friends. |

I got to meet these precious babies at Grapetown Vineyard in Fredericksburg a couple weeks ago for an alpaca interaction and wine tasting, and I cannot recommend the experience more highly. Gorgeous views, delicious wine, fluffy camelid mammals... what’s not to love?

Pro tip: You do get to feed them, and they’re friendly but hungry — so mind your fingers.
