Do-nut miss some of SATX’s hottest treats

SATXtoday: mochinut

I admit, I’m obsessed with Mochinut — these are some of the most incredible breakfast pastries I’ve ever had.

They’re donuts like you’ve never seen them before, made from Mochi — a delicious Japanese rice cake derived from shortgrained rice. They come in an array of flavors like churro, matcha, strawberry funnel, yuzu, pistachio, Nutella, black sesame, and cookies + cream.

Mochinut also serves up legendary Korean rice flour hot dogs and bubble tea at its two San Antonio locations at 5222 De Zavala Rd. and 19202 Stone Oak Rd.

Run, do not walk to your nearest location and grab some of these sweet treats if you haven’t yet.

City Guide

See art on the go around the Alamo City

SATXtoday_Murals-1.jpg
Greetings from Tacotonio Texas| Photo by SATXtoday
We all know that San Antonio has a vibrant art scene — and we’re not just talking about The Witte or the McNay. One of our all-time favorite galleries? San Antonio itself.

The Alamo City is home to a number of meaningful murals and street art pieces. Today, we’re sharing where to find pieces that really paint a picture of our city.

“Welcome to San Antonio,” 149 W. Hildebrand Ave. | By Alan Calvo

Whether you’re visiting the Alamo City or are a long-time local, this bright mural is a must-see. Bonus points if you post a selfie on Instagram with the hashtag #SATXtoday.

All Are Welcome, Love Conquers Hate,” 230 E. Travis St. | By Hailey Marmolejo, Rhys Munro, Raisa Melendez, Albert Gonzales, Victor Zarazua, and Scotch Willington

This welcoming mural with an important message is a must-see when visiting downtown.

The Wrap

It’s no secret I love a good tribute band. You can enjoy two stellar ones this weekend right here in the 210.

Check the Fab Four at the Tobin Center on Friday, Sept. 19 performing an iconic tribute to the Beatles like you’ve never seen it before, and Majesty of Rock — one of the most acclaimed Journey + Styx tribute bands in the country — on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Empire Theatre.
