This just in — long-awaited construction on Northside Community Park in Boerne will begin Wednesday, Sept. 3. The $16.8 million project is one of a long line of recent San Antonio-area park additions and upgrades and will feature a dog park, a splash pad, and pickleball courts. (MySA)

Real estate investment company Sonnenblick-Eichner has secured $22.6 million in mortgage leasehold financing for 12-story, 213-room downtown luxury Hotel Valencia Riverwalk. The funds will be used to refinance a previous maturing 10-year loan. (Boutique Hotel News)

It’s official — Woodbranch Management, Inc. has landed on a September start for a major project converting one of two Datapoint Drive office buildings into apartment housing. Alamo Architects has been tapped to design the conversion project. (San Antonio Business Journal)
Weather
Buckle up. Locals can expect (probably) the hottest week of the summer, with temperatures ranging between 99 and 101 degrees today through Sunday. On the plus side, humidity will decrease towards the end of the week, making the sauna temps a bit more bearable. (San Antonio Express-News)

Over the weekend, Wetmore Beach House hosted a toe-tapping, boot-scoot-boogyin’ concert for Hill Country flood relief with headliners like Clay Hollis and the Nick Lawrence Band, raffle, and silent auction. Proceeds from the event went to Alamo City Charity Partners and donations are still being accepted via payment apps. (KENS5)

The Texas Commission on the Arts and the Texas Cultural Trust are accepting applications for 2026’s class of Young Masters now through Monday, Nov. 3. Through this initiative, $5,000 grants are available for student artists grades 8-11 to pursue studies in music, theater, dance, musical theater, and more. Apply online.
