Hike, hike, baby — San Antonio parks are getting an upgrade.
Cuellar Park on the West Side is poised to receive $200,000 in renovations from the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department.
The park, which sits on 27 acres and offers a swimming pool, fitness stations, and various ball fields and tennis courts, is due for a facelift. According to city documents, the department will be improving a trail at the beloved park and repairing a cracked basketball court, as well as adding a brand-new restroom facility. Construction is set to begin in December and be completed by early March.
It’s been a big year or two for park lovers in San Antonio: Multiple new parks opened last year — including Berkley V. & Vincent M. Dawson Park and Charis Park.
