“Sister Act” | Wonder Theatre
Get back in the habit with this hit musical based on the 1992 film, directed by Megan Boneta and music directed by Andrew Hendley. It runs now through Sunday, Aug. 3 in the Wonderland of the Americas mall.
“The Importance of Being Earnest” | Teatro Audaz
Teatro Audaz presents this hilariously reimagined — and gender-swapped — classic-with-a-twist comedy by Oscar Wilde. Directed by Ana Martinez, this show opened Thursday, July 17 and runs through Sunday, July 27.
Flicks in the Park: “A Bug’s Life”| 8:30 p.m. | Pletz Park | Free | Bexar County Parks and Recreation invites you and yours to enjoy a free outdoor film screening. Fiesta Noche del Rio | 8:30-10:30 p.m. | Arneson River Theatre | $10+ | The 68th season of outdoor performances benefits local children’s charities and takes place on Friday and Saturday nights from June through August.

A new combat sport — Armored Medieval Martial Arts — is coming to the Boeing Center at Tech Port San Antonio on Saturday, Sept. 13. Come watch athletes with spiky ancient weapons meet opponents in octagonal cages. Ticket prices range from $60-$150.(San Antonio Culture Map)

San Antonio ISD signed off on a resolution this week to sell a piece of land to Bexar County. The property is slated to become a $160 million, 4,500-seat ballpark — and future home of the San Antonio Missions. (KSAT)
