Bexar County Commissioners approved a resolution for partial funding to a new Spurs arena and Freeman Coliseum grounds improvements. Before a venue tax can be added to the November ballot, the Texas Comptroller’s office has to review it + a plan needs to be finalized by Aug. 18. (San Antonio Business Journal)

Grandma’s Greek Taste will take the space formerly home to Pinch Boil House in the Stewart Center strip mall. The family-owned restaurant is giving you a look at what to expect on Instagram, and anticipates an early July opening, though no date has been set. (San Antonio Current)

$7 million. That’s the amount dedicated to improvements for Macdona Plaza Park. Proposed amenity upgrades for the green space in unincorporated Bexar County near Loop 1604 include ADA access, shading, dedicated sports areas, and new playground equipment. Salt Lick BBQ is among the tenants set for Fredericksburg retail development, The Sycamore, which is expected to open this year. Construction on the $1.2 million, 9,323-sqft restaurant should begin in September of this year and be complete by October 2026. (MySA)

Discount retailer Burlington Coat Factory is expanding its San Antonio presence with the addition of two new stores, which are set to open in the Crosstowne Mercado and Brooks Corner shopping centers. This would bring the company up to 12 outlets in the area. (MySA)
