Peak mango season occurs between May and September, but the varieties with the most flavor are typically sourced from India and Pakistan. Here’s where you can find these imported goodies in San Antonio:
Solano Produce, 1500 S. Zarzamora St.
This warehouse sells fresh fruits + veggies in bulk, offering up to 8-count boxes of ataulfo, kent, and maduro mangoes for $4-$7.
Heads up. Imported mangoes mean a shorter shelf life. Enjoy these fruits within two days of purchasing before they spoil.

Nelson’s BBQ, which is temporarily closed until mid-July, came in at No. 80. Since you have to wait until next month for your fix, visit one of these local food truck parks today.

Whataburger is launching its first-ever line of craft beverages as part of the San Antonio-based chain’s 75th anniversary celebration. Try the lemonade or prickly pear raspberry refresher on Tuesday, July 1, with new Whatafresher flavors to follow. (San Antonio Current)

Now through Tuesday, Aug. 5, try Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio’s submission for the chain’s annual World Burger Tour. The Texas Whiskey Smoker is a double-patty inspired by classic Texas barbecue. If it’s chosen as one of the top five burgers worldwide, it will be featured at locations globally for a limited time.
Concert
Due to popular demand, Majestic Theatre added a second John Mulaney show this fall. Tickets for the Nov. 12 stop on the “Mister Whatever” tour go on sale today, June 27 at 10 a.m.

Beginning today, June 27, the San Antonio Zoo will celebrate the “Dora the Explorer” franchise’s 25th anniversary with a treasure hunt inspired by “Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado,” which premieres on Nickelodeon on Tuesday, July 2. The activation will be available through Sunday, July 6.
