The Alamo City is home to a number of meaningful murals and street art pieces. Today, we’re sharing where to find pieces that really paint a picture of our city.
Stop by this vintage clothing store and take a selfie with this local artist’s first mural depicting a “mutualistic relationship between the butterfly and flower.”
The 48 feet-long artwork honors seven real life Girl Scouts from the Southwest Texas area like Lila Cockrell, Major General Angie Salinas, and Amerie Jo Garza — a victim of the 2022 Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde.

ICYMI, the San Antonio City Council unveiled plans for a multi-year development project called the Sports and Entertainment District. The goal is to revitalize downtown with a new Spurs arena, Alamodome upgrades, and a massive land bridge. The city estimates the project would be fully complete by late 2035.

The University of Texas system announced that beginning fall 2025, some students will receive free tuition and all fees waived. To qualify, undergraduate families need to make less than $100,000 a year. (KVUE)

Teazzty Tea Bar is opening a second location at 14510 NW Military Hwy. on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The grand opening celebration will include a lion dance at 11 a.m. along with new additions to its tea + acai bowl menu.

Revolución is taking over the former Greenhouse Coffee space in Olmos Park at 223 E. Hildebrand Ave., Suite 101. Work has begun renovating the interior, but no word yet on an official opening date. (San Antonio Current)
