November is here, and the frenzied flurry of the holidays is beginning to rear its head. As a gift of gratitude to our readers, we’re rounding up local businesses that are serving up the goods this Thanksgiving to save you time in the kitchen.
Let’s start with dessert
The Bread Box, 555 W. Bitters Rd. Reserve your Apple, Whiskey Pumpkin, or Pecan pies using the bakery’s online order form with pick up scheduled for Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27 between 9 a.m. + 3 p.m.
Two Bros. BBQ Market, 12656 West Ave. It’s offering complete meals for 10-12 people, along with individual smoked turkeys starting at $90. Meals include BBQ spiced smoke turkey, roasted rosemary fingerling potatoes, roasted garlic and thyme bread stuffing, and more. The deadline to order is Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Central Market, 4821 Broadway The grocery chain brought back its chef-made meals complete with staples like ham and turkey, while also offering family-size sides and desserts.

San Antonio restaurants were recognized by the MICHELIN Guide at last night’s award ceremony in Houston. Give a big round of applause for MICHELIN-Recommended Barbecue Station, Garcia’s Mexican Food, Leche De Tigre, Little Em’s Oyster Bar, Nicosi, Signature Restaurant, and 2M Smokehouse.
Civic
The city’s gun buyback event is happening at the Alamodome on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 12 to 5 p.m. This year, local officials have the goal of receiving 1,000 surrendered weapons in exchange for H-E-B gift cards ranging from $100 to $200 in value. (KENS 5)

Tickets are on sale now for Hot Holidays on Houston Street. On Saturday, Dec. 7 from 5 to 9 p.m. at West Houston Street + North Flores Street, sip, sip, hooray, with eight sample tickets, La Panadería + The Beignet Stand bites, a cocktail area, and a commemorative mug.
Closing
