In the words of Carrie Bradshaw, "...even before the first leaf falls, you can feel the seasons click.” Indeed, the seasons are clicking, and even though San Antonio isn’t officially out of its summer fling, it sure feels like it.
The fall decor has been released from its storage box, more farmers markets have popped up, and local coffee shops have released their own take on the iconic fall drink menu.
Grab your cardigan, wallet, and keys, because you don’t want to miss these fall-themed coffee orders.
Make your way (near) downtown and sip on this local twist of the fall classic: The Pumpkin Spice Latte. Aftersome Coffee, 11618 Jones Maltsberger Rd.

Add seasonal flavors to any drink: Options include cajeta (Mexican caramel sauce), peanut butter, Nutella, carrot cake, café de olla, and the apple crumble.

Help birds during the fall migration in San Antonio
Get our feathered friends to their destination by reducing light use. | Photo by SATXtoday team
It’s that time of the year, folks. That’s right, Pumpkin Spice Lattes are in full swing, trees are going from green to brown, and of course, fall bird migration is back.
Each year during the spring and fall, nearly two billion birds travel through the Texas night sky. As our feathered friends pass over big cities, they can become disoriented by bright, artificial lights and sky glow, often causing them to crash into buildings + windows.
The initiative started in 2017 by the bird conservation organization Audubon Texas and has since expanded state-wide with the help of Texan by Nature. The goal of Lights Out is to reduce migratory bird deaths by increasing awareness and participation of cities to turn off non-essential lights.
