Every year, Labor Day falls on the first Monday in September and celebrates the social + economic achievements of workers in the US.

Labor Day Artisan Show | San Antonio River Walk | 11 a.m.-11 p.m. | Shop from over 40 local artists offering pottery, textiles, jewelry, paintings, and more.

Labor Day Celebration | Historic Market Square, 514 W. Commerce St. | 10 a.m.-6 p.m. | Hang out at this family-friendly event featuring live music, kid-friendly games, food, and more.

SARR Labor Day Whine Run | Tuscany Venue, 16102 Old Fredericksburg Rd. | 7:30 a.m. | Celebrate the end of summer with a 5K and 5-miler race with friends, food, and wine sampling.

  • Coffee Crush is expanding its location. In a video posted to Instagram, the shop is covered in construction tarps, and the owner promises more seating as a result.

  • The Stable Hall is putting on a Michael Jackson and Prince dance party. Hop in the little red corvette and make like a smooth criminal to the Pearl on Friday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18.

  • The City of San Antonio Animal Care Services is seeking temporary pet foster parents. The department is hosting extra classes in its “Sit. Stay. Learn” series. Interested residents are encouraged to send an email for more information.
