San Antonians, grab your orange + blue “Let’s go 210" banner — football season is back. Dive into all things game day before UTSA’s first game on Saturday, Aug. 31.
What everyone’s talking about:
Roadrunner fans will miss quarterback Frank Harris on the field this season. No worries, you’ll still see some familiar — and new — faces on the Roadrunners. Coach Jeff Traylor is starting his sixth season with the team, and the program is welcoming transfers like offensive lineman Jaylen Garth (Houston), cornerback Denver Harris (LSU), and linebacker Ian Jackson (Alabama). The Department of Defense Warrior Games will be held in San Antonio in 2025 and 2028, the US Army announced.These annual games feature hundreds of wounded, ill, and injured military service members + veterans. Some of the adaptive sporting events include wheelchair basketball, cycling, indoor rowing, and sitting volleyball.

Plan Ahead
The Rise Music Festival is happening on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 4 to 11 p.m. at The Espee. Kings Kaleidoscope will headline the event with support from Alexander Pappas, Tedashii, and WHATUPRG. There will also be a variety of food vendors and family-friendly activities. Tickets start at $35.

Bexar County to host town halls for fiscal year 2024-2025 budget

As the City of San Antonio preps for the release of its proposed FY2025 budget, Bexar County is gearing up to do the same with its public budget discussions.
So, what’s the difference is between the city and county budgets? While San Antonio focuses on serving the population within the city limits, Bexar County provides services for all county and city residents. Learn more about how the county operates.
