Dallas native brings coffee + community to San Antonio neighborhood

Coffee connoisseurs, cereal eaters, and vinyl collectors unite — a new espresso spot called The Spin Coffee & Vinyl is now open at 3131 Nacogdoches Rd. Suite 101. This is the perfect place to get all three, Monday through Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Located in the Northeast Park neighborhood, this Dallas-based coffee shop is owned by a gentleman named Massif, and he was kind enough to spill the beans about his sophomore San Antonio adventure.
Massif’s story
Why the Alamo City? Massif travels back + forth between Dallas, San Antonio, and Albuquerque for his wife’s job, so starting a location in the River City just made sense and felt right.
“San Antonio is thirsty for coffee” says The Spin Coffee & Vinyl owner, and thinks coffee tastes best when community is involved. Massif’s goal is to create a community in Northeast Park over a cup of coffee, vinyl spinning, and yes, a bowl of cereal + handmade pastries.
Be sure to follow its Instagram account for future community board game nights, live music, and newly-added record inventory.

Nice to matcha
The Spin Coffee & Vinyl has all of your classic coffee + latte flavors, think: Lavender and Vanilla. Where the new spot shines is its unique beverages like the Cobo-Chico (cold brew and Topo Chico) or the City Editor-approved Strawberry Fields consisting of matcha, strawberry puree, and your choice of milk.
If you’re feeling adventurous, try ordering the Cafe Cola that includes espresso shots, Coca Cola, and milk.
Putting the coffee aside, the shop has a vast record collection for patrons to browse through and purchase. Pro tip: Grab a board game and play while you pass the time.
