City of San Antonio to help with home repair costs

Home improvement projects have the tendency to be stressful and costly. That’s why the City of San Antonio is here to help by reopening applications for its Home Repair and Lead Remediation program. So grab your clicky pen and get ready to take some notes as we break down this initiative.
🛠️ Eligibility requirements
Residents with low to moderate incomes can receive city grants for minor and major home repairs.
To get a grant, you must:
Reside in a single-family, detached home in San Antonio
The cost of the repair cannot exceed $25,000 along with a five year Restrictive Covenant term.
Major repairs consist of:
Electrical
Plumbing
Heating + air conditioning
These repairs are eligible for up to $145,000 in the form of a forgivable loan, meaning repayment is not required as long as the resident lives in the home 10 years.
How can I apply?
Applications open online beginning Monday, Oct. 23 and close on Monday, Nov. 20. For help with applying, homeowners can receive assistance by visiting the following organizations:

The San Antonio Museum of Art is collaborating with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México San Antonio to create an ofrenda for Juan O’Gorman. This late Mexican artist + architect is painted the Confluence of Civilizations in the Americas. See the ofrenda included with your admission from Thursday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Nov. 12.
