Fallen Hero Cart presented by Alaska Airlines to SAT | SATXtoday Team
Earlier this week, San Antonio International Airport (SAT) unveiled the 14th Fallen Hero Cart, which will be used to transport fallen soldiers with respect and honor, to and from the aircraft bringing them home.
As part of the Fallen Soldier Program created by Alaska Airlines in 2011, this program is “designed to make sure every military member, active, retired or veteran and their families are honored for their service and sacrifice in a respectful dignified manner on their final journey.”
Dressed in blue paint, red carpet interior, and American flag curtains, the cart’s exterior also features plaques representing the branches of the military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force.
“San Antonio is home to one of the biggest populations of active military and veterans in the United States and we are beyond proud to be officially known as Military City, USA®, “ said Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports, San Antonio Airport System. “Having a Fallen Hero Cart here will be a special resource for our community and we are pleased to know all airlines at SAT will have access to it.”

In our opinion, brunch is always a good idea. Whether it’s an order of The Big Easy Biscuit from NOLA Brunch and Beignets or a quick stop at Cover 3 for a slice of avocado toast, the combination of breakfast and lunch is something we hold very close to our hearts.
Fortunately for us, San Antonio is home to plenty of brunch options. Here are a few we’ve been loving recently:
We asked you to guess — what’s the lie? 48% of you got it right, the answer is: Cheetos were invented here. Now if you replace “Cheetos” with “Fritos” ... then you have a true fact — Charles Elmer Doolin created the corn snack right here in San Antonio.
The top three cereals I would eat as a kid was Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cap’n Crunch, and Pops! If Merit comes out with cereal milk cold brew variations of any of those cereals...they’re just going to have to take my money.
