Uvalde ISD implemented a last-minute no-bag policy for its eight campuses, as an added safety measure. Now through Monday, May 22, backpacks, messenger bags and large purses are not allowed on school grounds. Clear and 1 gallon Ziplock bags are accepted. We rounded up the school districts with similar policies.

The movie season began in May and will continue through November. Movie showings are three times a month ranging from animated, live-action, and throwback films. Upcoming film schedule:
May 20 — “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”
June 3 — “Beauty and the Beast”
June 15 — “School of Rock”
Screenings will begin shortly after dusk.
Some honorable film mentions include: “The Sandlot” on July 20, “Black Widow” on August 20, and “Selena” on September 21. See the full list of films here.
The “Hot Wheels” announcement makes my younger self jump with excitement. “Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver” from 1998 was one of the first video games I had ever played. As a kid, I collected the cars, created the tracks, and most likely drove my parents insane because they were constantly stepping on Bone Shaker.
From the “Forza Horizon 5" with their Hot Wheels expansion to “Hot Wheels Unleashed”, these racing games are an easy go-to for quick, racing mayhem. Some throwbacks to mention are “Spy Hunter” (remember the sequel with The Rock?) and “Split Second”.
