Obsessed with Fiesta? Six Flags Fiesta Texas introduced its Viva La Fiesta event at their park last weekend, which will run through May 14, on Saturdays and Sundays. City Editors Nicholas and Adriana spent a day at the park experiencing all the popular Fiesta food and activities.

🎊 Know before you go

Viva La Fiesta is celebrated at Six Flags Fiesta Texas on weekends only (on Saturdays, the park is even open for an extra hour, until 9 p.m.). Purchase your tickets in advance to avoid the lines.

🎊 Taste of Fiesta

You can’t have Fiesta without your favorite Fiesta inspired foods. Here are a few of the mouthwatering treats that caught our eyes:
  • Chicken on a stick (of course)
  • Carne asada and al pastor street tacos (Pro tip: Get both)
  • Beef kabobs (City Editor Nicholas’ favorite)
  • Fruit in a cup with chamoy and tajin
  • Assorted cervezas and drinks

🎊 Entertainment

Besides the Fiesta food favorites, Six Flags will offer a wide variety of summer entertainment performances and live music. Here is a list of other musical events and performances happening around the park:

What if getting your finances together didn’t have to be headache-inducing? What if it was actually enjoyable?

Enter: United Texas Credit Union, a credit union with everything that big banks offer, plus the one thing that they don’t — personal, caring service. Their mission is to improve your financial wellbeing with a wide array of options and services.

Still not convinced? Here are three reasons to consider making the switch:
  • Member benefits: You’ll have access to a range of benefits designed with life’s needs in mind, including loan extensions, member discounts on products and services (think: Turbotax, Spectrum Mobile, and more), financial counseling, and more.
  • The credit union difference: Because United Texas Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization, its focus will always be on serving its members, which translates to better rates, lower fees, and personal service.
  • Easy to join: All you have to do is review the requirements and get in touch with the team, and they’ll take it from there.
Once you’re a member, you’re always a member.*
