Health
Due to inclement weather, San Antonio Metro Health postponed Public Health Fest. All activities will be moved to Fiesta de Salud — Wednesday, April 19 from 3 p.m. -6 p.m. at Crockett Park. Follow their Instagram for more information.
Civic
San Antonio Parks and Recreation announced the city park curfew has been lifted for select parks for the Easter weekend. The curfew for parks like McAllister Park and O.P. Schnabel Park was lifted at 11 p.m. last night, and will resume at 11 p.m. this Sunday, April 9.
Pets
Rock 4 Paws benefit show will return will return tomorrow (Saturday, April 9) from 12 p.m.-2 a.m after a pandemic hiatus. The benefit show at Fitzgerald’s Bar & Live Music Venue raises money for SA Pets Alive and the San Antonio Animal Defense League. Presale tickets are $5 and are $8 at the door.
Entertainment
During the Red Hot Chilli Peppers tour stop in the Alamo City on Wednesday, May 17, two additional bands will be joining the group on stage. The Strokes and Thundercat are set to perform alongside the headliner. Tickets are still available starting at $25. (MySA)
Outdoor
San Antonio Parks and Recreation will give away 350 fruit trees on Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Farmers and Artisans Market. A variety of fruit trees will be available on a first come first serve basis while supplies last.
Sports
It’s Fiesta Night at the season kickoff game for San Antonio Gunslingers at Freeman Coliseum tomorrow (Saturday, April 8). Doors open at 5 p.m. and kickoff is at 6 p.m. The first 400 people through the doors get a SA Gunslingers Fiesta medal. Tickets start at $10.
