As San Antonians ourselves, we love making sure that the Alamo City has access to the most robust, relevant, and hyperlocal events calendar possible. In part, we rely on readers like you to keep us in the loop — start submitting your events now. (Just like before, you can add your event to our calendar for free but we’ve also added a few new paid promotional opportunities to take advantage of as well, starting at just $15.)
In addition to the hundreds of events that you can discover each month on our website, each issue of our newsletter features a dedicated events section, with our curated editorial picks for the upcoming week, organized by day. Keep scrolling just a little bit and you’ll see what we mean. Pro tip: click the link to see our full calendar if you want to start planning ahead.

Hemisfair boutique hotel headed for review
The Hemisfair hotel will boast 200 rooms with downtown views. | Rendering by Overland Partners
The much-anticipated hotel at Hemisfair has officially been unveiled and is headed to review by the Historic and Design Review Commission.
Planned for the site at 222 S. Alamo St. is a 17-story, 200-room boutique hotel overlooking the ongoing Civic Park development.
According to the submitted plans, Hemisfair Hotel (thename is not final) will not only provide lodging but also host a space for a park-facing restaurant + five retail spaces on the ground floor.
But that’s not all — plans show a rooftop pool deck and cabana areas along with a top-level event space + bar.
Editor’s pick: We’re so excited to be launching our new events page. I’m personally looking forward to being able to add events directly into my Google calendar. Now, I can plan my weeks ahead of time without having to worry about forgetting.
