Southtown staples like The Friendly Spot, Rosario’s, and Maverick have driven people to this little neighborhood just south of downtown for years. Now visitors have one more option to try out: Blush Bakery and Brunch, located at 713 S. Alamo St. next to Bar America.

This new brunch spot features locally inspired dishes like the King Williams Benedict (a sous vide short rib on foccacia), and El Rey Feo (a brie and truffle brioche with Billionaire Bacon). You can order a traditional mimosa, or try out a variety of craft cocktails and frozen drinks like the Blush Old Fashioned or the Root for Me.

Know before you go:

  • Restaurant hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Bakery hours: Every day 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
