There’s no shortage of happenings around the Alamo City and what better way to charge your busy weekend with a cup of joe? In addition to our 10 coffee trucks to try around San Antonio piece, today, we’re taking a java journey to 8 local brick-and-mortar coffee shops that’ll mocha you very happy.

Bright Coffee , 1705 Blanco Rd.

The spot boasts beautiful natural light during the day. In the evenings, the San Antonio Swing Dance Society hosts its Lindy Hop dance classes + social events. Try This: If you like sweet sips, the banana or melon milk latte may be for you.

This boutique cafe is a dog-themed coffee shop serving puppyccinos, dog beer, and barkuterie boards for your furry friends. Try this: We recommend a large cafe con Leche for the dog parents.

Corner Coffee & More , 2720 Pleasanton Rd

Start your morning at this Southside gem serving coffee with a San Antonio twist. Try this: La Canela loca is served with two shots of espresso, cinnamon topping, vanilla flavor + your choice of milk.

Cultura Coffeehouse , 9427 Poteet Jourdanton Fwy.

Another Southside spot dubs itself a dive coffeehouse that brews unique Tex-Mex inspired caffeinated concoctions. Try this: They have a variety of bebidas sucias, but we recommend trying the mazapan latte.

Kaffeinated Crepes & Coffee , 5500 Babcock Rd. #104

Editor Ivan stopped by here recently and this place is as Insta-worthy as it gets. The Café specializes in coffee, chocolate, sweet + savory crepes, waffles, and gelato. Try this: Get your hands on its signature chocolate mocha frappe.

Poetic Republic Coffee Company , 2330 S. Presa St.

This literary neighborhood coffee shop is the perfect place to read a book while sipping on a classic Americano. On Fridays + Saturdays, it transforms into a natural wine bar with bites + happy hour specials. Try this: Editor Rossi recommends the seasonal blossom latte.

Scorpion , 125 Lamar St.

Located in the Dignowity Hill neighborhood on the Eastside of town, this unique cafe has a morning coffee service that serves Peruvian-inspired brews, cuisine + natural wine. Try this: You can’t go wrong with the classic cortado.

What’s Brewing Coffee Roasters , 138 W Rhapsody Dr.

Enjoy a fine cup of joe followed by a game of pinball on one of its unique machines. Try this: If you like cold coffee, the chocolate mint cold brew sounds tasty.
