The River Walk is flipping the switch on the holiday lights today — yes, you heard that right. Last month, the City of San Antonio announced the iconic holiday lights were to turn on early this year.
The stunning array of 100,000+ lights draping over the towering cypress trees is always a sight to behold. However, our team at SATXtoday knows it’s also the most wonderful time for a beer. Head on over to these three bars after viewing this festive attraction light up the Alamo City sky.
The Esquire Tavern
This bar boasts two impressive titles as the oldest bar on the River Walk + the largest wooden bartop in Texas with over 100 ft of beer-soaked wood.
Thirsty Aztec
Thirsty Aztec is the name, beer + margaritas to-go is the game. Need we say more?
Coyote Ugly Saloon
Dubbed “most famous bar on the planet”, this saloon will have you howling to great music all night long.
