Transit
VIA Metropolitan Transit rolled out a new VIA Link southeast zone this week, bringing on-demand ride service to a 13.8-square mile area of southeast San Antonio. Fees cost $1.30 per ride, and this is the sixth service zone in SATX.
Closing
The Growler Exchange will permanently close its location at 914 E. Elmira St. this Saturday, Dec. 13. Fans of the craft beer bar can get $5 pints and 30% off of growlers until then, but the kitchen is closed. Don’t worry, the Broadway location will remain open. (My SA)
Now Open
The first San Antonio location of Paris Baguette, a popular South Korean bakery chain, is now open at the Gunter Hotel downtown. Visitors can expect custom-blend coffee, daily fresh-made baked goods, and treats galore.

Smithson Valley High School’s Gunnar Shoquist earned the No. 1 spot in Sports Illustrated’s Texas Offensive High School Football Player of the Week last week. The Spring Branch player was noted for running 153 yards in the school’s 30-14 win over Pieper High School earlier this month.
