What’s salty, savory, and headed soon to the Tower of the Americas?

Why, the Tequila and Tacos Festival to be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, that’s what.

With a $90 general admission ticket or $125 for VIP admission, you can enjoy live music, a gourmet taco bar, lawn games with prizes, and of course — an array of cocktails from world-famous tequila and mezcal brands. Eat up — taco options include chicken al carbon, beef barbacoa, pork al pastor, and shrimp Yucatan style.

Pro tip: Spare yourself a lot of parking woes and pay for parking in advance at the San Antonio Mariott RiverCenter garage — it’s $20 and less than one-third of a mile away.

The Wrap

I really want to buy that house from “The Notebook,” y’all, but alas — student loans call.

In the spirit of fandom + bolstering the local economy, I’d like to suggest to the lucky new owners that their best bet is to deck it out as a full-scale replica of the original house and make it the most coveted San Antonio wedding venue around. Just think of the photo ops.
