San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones has requested an independent economic analysis of costs and impacts of a new Spurs arena. The city has been considering funding up to $500 million of the arena’s potentially $1.5 billion price tag, but Jones has asked to pause discussion for further deliberation. (KSAT)

Black Chapel Brewing opened its doors Friday, Aug. 8 at 6212 West US Highway 290 next to the Charleston Taylor Winery. A new trampoline park is soon to open in San Antonio. NRG Adventure Park will set up shop across the highway from North Star Mall at the Pavilions North Shopping Center. With a projected completion date of April 30, 2026, the park will feature trampolines, indoor playgrounds, and games. (MySA)

A new local coffee and sandwich shop is coming to the lobby of the McCombs Plaza. The owners of The Newstand, which opened in the Jefferson Building at 1900 Broadway in spring 2024, are launching an extension with coffee, pastries, and more in an 850-sqft space at 755 E.
