Beloved Kerrville-based barbecue joint Buzzie’s BBQ — declared by “Texas Monthly” the best barbecue in the state — closed its permanent space for good Sunday, Aug. 3, after 32 years. Bexar County Commissioners approved a ballot measure Tuesday, Aug. 5 on the future of Frost Bank Center, Freeman Coliseum, and funding for a prospective Spurs arena. After listening to hours of public comment in support of the venture, the Commissioners voted to approve a venue tax proposition for November’s ballot. (KENS5)
