A tiny 1000-sqft pop-up IKEA mini-store is coming this fall to San Antonio’s Best Buy at the Alamo Ranch location, and to other Best Buys around the country. With IKEA staffers available to assist, for the first time ever, you’ll be able to shop for IKEA furniture while browsing electronics. (MySA)

Beloved Kerrville-based barbecue joint Buzzie’s BBQ — declared by “Texas Monthly” the best barbecue in the state — closed its permanent space for good Sunday, Aug. 3, after 32 years. Bexar County Commissioners approved a ballot measure Tuesday, Aug. 5 on the future of Frost Bank Center, Freeman Coliseum, and funding for a prospective Spurs arena. After listening to hours of public comment in support of the venture, the Commissioners voted to approve a venue tax proposition for November’s ballot. (KENS5)
