The San Antonio Missions Club is hosting a special evening Aug. 9, 7:05 p.m., at Nelson Wolff Stadium as a fundraiser for Hill Country flooding victims. The Missions will wear autographed jerseys from baseball teams of high schools affected by the flood, to be auctioned after the game. Hall of Famer Manu Ginobili will throw out the first pitch. Denver-based family investment firm Platte Canyon Capital just purchased Allure Apartments, a 268-unit apartment complex, near Culebra Crossing Shopping Center. Previously owned by DJE Texas Management Group, the complex is located at 7770 Pipers Lane and the firm is set to invest $4.7 million in renovations. (Multi-Housing News)

Developer Chris Hill’s plan to convert the San Antonio Loan and Trust Building into a multi-story restaurant is set to be approved by the Historic and Design Review Commission Aug. 6. The project, which received conceptual approval in February, will include a second-story dining deck. (San Antonio Business Journal)
