The Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed Bexar County has its first measles case in the ongoing outbreak. It’s the first case in the county since 2019, and health officials say there was no public exposure. Heads up: Metro Health offers vaccines by appointment only and accepts insurance. (SA Current)

A new mixed-used retail development is on the horizon for the Stone Oak area. Spots at the ~58,000-sqft Stone Oak Mercantile are already filling up, with Chick-fil-A, Black Rock Coffee, and San Antonio’s first Crust Pizza Co.'s Chicago-style pies. (San Antonio Business Journal)

And there’s another first in that very same neighborhood. Canadian brunch chain Pür and Simple boasts 40+ locations in the Great White North, and just opened its first-ever US eatery in SATX. Expect large coffees, eggs benny, breakfast tacos, and poutine. (My San Antonio)

Airport and hotel numbers are down in San Antonio so far this year. San Antonio International Airport says passenger numbers declined 2.4% through 2025’s first five months, and in Q1, downtown hotels saw an occupancy rate 8.2% lower than the same time last year. Travel
But despite that drop, San Antonio International’s development plans are coming along nicely. SAT awarded a $125 million contract for a ground transportation center to local architecture firm Marmon Mok and Kansas City-based JE Dunn Construction.
