Editor Nicholas here. I’m so excited to finally show you the special project I’ve been working on about local writer Isa Arsén. Over the course of a few meetings, we discussed her sophomore novel to create my first-ever SATXtoday book review.

I hope you enjoy.

Meet me at Nowhere

I first met Isa at a book reading at the cozy Nowhere Bookshop in January. I wasn’t sure what to expect, having not read her books yet, but the passages she shared immediately grabbed me.

It was all big smiles at Isa Arsén’s release party for her latest book “The Unbecoming of Margaret Wolf.”

After her narrations, she accepted questions with my hand going up two or three times.

When I was next in line to get my book signed, and before I could say anything, Arsén humored me by saying with a friendly chuckle, “I take it you’re a writer also?”

Both of us laughing, I respond: “What gave it away?”

    The Wrap

I’m going to be honest with you: Now that Final Four is wrapped up, I feel like I can let out a huge sigh of relief. It was a privilege to cover this major sporting event and I can understand why the NCAA goes all out. Alas, your beloved editor is tired.

I can’t rest too much though, Fiesta is right around the corner.
