The City of San Antonio’s Development Services Department have proposed a pilot program to install 10 digital displays along the facade of downtown buildings in an effort to create a “urban entertainment districts.” Think: West Hollywood’s Design District. City Council is set to vote on the proposal later this month. (SA Business Journal)

H-E-B’s Our Texas, Our Future launched a new state-wide cleanup campaign, Trash Free Gulf. Texas cities are hosting waterway litter clean-up events throughout May. San Antonio’s event is taking place on Saturday, May 17 at Espada Park from 8 to 11 a.m. Sign up here.

The Latino Bookstore at Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is hosting two author signing events this month — Jennifer R. Nájera on Thursday, April 24 + Norma E. Cantú on Friday, April 25. Both events are free and are happening from 6 to 8 p.m.
