The Federal Transit Administration awarded VIA Metropolitan Transit a $268 million grant for its Rapid Green Line project. The service is designed to support + improve the lives of nearly 54,000 residents and 108,000 jobs along its 10+ mile corridor. It’s expected to come online in 2027.

The Brackenridge Park Conservancy released proposed designs of a new nature playscape. Throughout next year, the conservancy will be working on various documents to begin construction. The playscape has an estimated completion in fall 2026.
Development
Speaking of fall. Yesterday, UTSA broke ground on its new $35 million volleyball and basketball training facility. The venue spans 53,000 sqft and features two full-sized NCAA practice courts, locker rooms, team lounges, weight rooms, athletic medical facility, and more. It’s expected to open fall 2026.
