Today Is

Circle K Fuel Day. More than 156 gas stations across San Antonio are participating in the event. Drivers can visit Circle K fuel stations between 4 through 7 p.m. to save up to 40¢ per gallon at the pump.

Development

Spring Branch’s Screaming Goat Yard & Tap is making a move with a second location in the UTSA area according to a filing. The $500,000 new construction project will be a two-story bar, and is expected to begin in January 2025 with an estimated completion date in September 2025.

Transit

Speaking of the H-E-B Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. VIA is providing fare-free rides to the holiday event on Friday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. Free rides apply to regular bus service, VIA Link, and Paratransit services. To redeem, just let the operator know you’re headed to Travis Park.

Tech

Local carbon capture company CarbonFree unveiled the world’s first zero-carbon mineral. Dubbed endurocal, the company plans to sell the mineral as a pitch to replace calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate is used across commercial products and can be found in plastics, paints, and paper. (San Antonio Business Journal)

Concert

Russell Hill Rogers Musical Evenings at San Fernando Cathedral announced a new holiday-themed concert. On Sunday, Dec. 8, singer-songwriter Lily Henley will perform a blend of holiday classics and original work inside the Cathedral. Tickets are free and doors open at 6:15 p.m.

There’s a very Austin celebrity lookalike contest happening this weekend. Glen Powell doppelgangers should head to Auditorium Shores at 1 p.m. this Sunday, Nov. 24 — the most similar will win a cowboy hat crown and “some money.” (KUT)
